Does a resident have to be enrolled in college to be accepted into the Summit Campus program?Summit Campus does not require an applicant to attend college, but we do endeavor to create an individualized program aligned with a resident's post-secondary goals that is structured and consistent.
-
Are those residents enrolled in college expected to utilize academic supports at their respective schools? Our goal is to prepare students for an increasingly independent college experience. We ask that all students register with the Office of Disability Services (names vary by institution) at their college which provides academic accommodation. Students will also receive support in learning how to utilize writing centers, math labs, learning centers, and other academic support services, as recommended.
-
What is the age range for the Summit Campus and do residents stay for more than a year?We support young adults ages 18-25 and on an average our residents stay in our program for 1 to 2 years.
-
What can I expect in terms of meals and food in general at the Dorm?We have a fully equipped kitchen and a chef who prepares dinner 5 nights a week and coordinates with the residents for weekend dinner options. There are a variety of food selections for breakfast and lunch that residents can prepare. There are many local restaurants nearby that quickly become individual favorites. Food allergies and intolerances can be accomodated.
-
Are there any social activities?Social activities are scheduled in advance with resident input. Activities range from excursions to local places of interest to in-house D&D or tabletop and/or video game nights, as well as movie nights.
-
Is transportation provided?Summit uses Campus vans to get residents to and from their classes, internships and/or jobs; as well as regularly scheduled trips into the community to meet their individual needs. Additionally, Summit Campus partners with the WRTA to provide travel training on public transportation. This fosters confidence, community engagement and independence.

What are the rooms in the Dorm like? Each resident has a single room with a closet or armoire, a chest of drawers, a desk, a ceiling fan with a remote and a mini fridge. The rooms are unique and charming with an abundance of natural sunlight.
